Welcome To Phare

PHARE is a sacred space formed on the ability to

connect illuminated innovators through education and community.

phare means lighthouse/beacon in french.

Dearest Community,

It is with heart breaking news that we have had to close our sacred space as of June 30, 2022. Phare opened January 1, 2020 and was booking out for 6 months. Then a global pandemic hit 3 months into opening and we have been navigating these turbulent waters since. 2022 was the first year that felt like we were coming home to the original business plan, however overall the bookings have not been consistent enough to sustain the general overhead for the space. Then our application for the sba increase was canceled due to they were out of money as of May 5. This really dictated the future of Phare and the space (based on the rent debt accumulated as we waited for the sba increase).
Overall we are saddened and heart broken as we know many of the community our too,
but are truly leaning into the trust and faith in this process.

Above all Phare is its own consciousness and as I sat with Phare, the message was very clear.

“We do not need physical or material to dictate our own internal happiness.
The lighthouse that Phare is, IS YOU.
You are the lighthouse.
Each and every human that has come through these doors and answered the call.
That is light. Radiating and growing brighter and brighter.”

So as we clear the energy we let new energy come in.

The tide goes out and the tide comes in.

This is for us.

Kind and loving blessings,
Samantha Levi
Founder of Phare

PHARE, meaning lighthouse/beacon in french pays homage to the Historic Luzier Cosmetics Building for which we are housed in. PHARE is located on the second level at the south end and has windows (beacons) that shine in each direction. Specifically the iconic half moon amber glass windows that are unique to only this space.

PHARE is extra special because the space used to be Mr. Luziers private apartment back in the 1920s and his retail space was where Hand and Land is now. There was even pulley elevator in the middle of the space (now sealed).

A memo from
Samantha Levi,
founder of Phare:

THE FIRST TIME I VISITED THIS SPACE WAS IN FEBRUARY OF 2019. IT WAS VIBRATING AT ME AND HAD ITS OWN ENERGY UNLIKE ANYTHING I HAD EXPERIENCED. THIS IS WHY I DECIDED IT NEEDED TO BE MORE THAN JUST MY PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO.

THE SPACE NEEDED TO SHINE ON EVERYONE.

THAT IS WHERE I CAME UP WITH 'THATS PHARE' - TO CREATE A SPACE FOR ONE TO IGNITE THE LIGHT WITHIN THEMSELVES. TO FIND THEIR TRUEST BEAUTY AND FEARLESSNESS FROM WITHIN.

SAMANTHA BELIEVES IN EQUALITY FOR ALL SOULS HERE ON EARTH AND KNOWS IF WE CAN WORK AS ONE TO ELEVATE HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS THAT WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER.

PHARE IS ABOUT CULTIVATING THE LIGHT THROUGH CREATIVE COMMUNITY, EDUCATION, AND INSPIRATION.

PHARE BRINGS LIGHT TO THE HEART OF KANSAS CITY.

For that reason alone Phare is meant to host workshops and private events to elevate the community and the collective consciousness through education.
